Paris, 7 February 2024 – Hi Inov – Dentressangle, a Franco-German venture capital company with €350m in assets under management, announces its collaboration with Ankaa Ventures, a specialist in investing in European start-ups at the seed stage. The partnership aims to identify and support around ten start-ups in France, Benelux and the DACH region.
Hi Inov is joining forces with Ankaa Ventures for the seed investments planned for its Hi Inov III fund, which made its first closing of €75m in September 2023.
This collaboration is based on a shared vision of investment: Hi Inov and Ankaa Ventures are both experts in B2B tech investments in France and Germany. Ankaa’s investment sectors, in particular climate tech, human capital, data, and AI, are also perfectly in line with the investment objectives of Hi Inov’s new vintage.
This partnership also stems from the relationship of trust between Valérie Gombart, founder and CEO of Hi Inov, and Jonathan Cohen-Sabban, CEO of Ankaa Ventures, two professionals who have been working together for 20 years and share the same vision of excellence in venture capital.
« In addition to the success of our past collaborations with Jonathan Cohen-Sabban, Ankaa Ventures’ in-depth knowledge of the European B2B digital start-up ecosystem is a real asset. Ankaa Ventures appeared to be an ideal partner, whose professionalism and team expertise are perfectly aligned with Hi Inov’s commitment to excellence. Finally, Ankaa Ventures’ expertise in terms of innovation for the planet and its resources echoes our commitment to energy efficiency in digital applications and lays the foundations for a virtuous partnership for our third fund » commented Valérie Gombart, founder and CEO of Hi Inov.
Jonathan Cohen-Sabban, CEO of Ankaa Ventures, added: « This strategic partnership with Hi Inov is the result of our similar visions of venture capital in Europe, particularly in France and Germany. It fits in perfectly with our desire to be able to support founders with an innovative combination of talent, enabling us to support them at every stage of their development.
